Suitable for use in rooms and environments where a standard Smoke Alarm isn't, this Status Heat Alarm is designed to alert you if a fire breaks out in your home. It's been specifically designed for use in areas with fumes or high humidity such as kitchens, or rooms prone to dust or other particles in the air such as garages, utility rooms and lofts. The heat alarm's thermistor sensor won't detect signs of smoke, but is sensitive to sudden or extreme temperature change. If the temperature in the room exceeds 54°C - 70°C, its alarm sounds and a red LED will flash. The alarm exceeds 85dB and is loud enough to wake you should you be sleeping, and can be heard at over 3 metres away.
Offering protection for areas up to 30m², the heat alarm is powered by a 10 year sealed lithium battery so you don't have to worry about regular battery change. Easy to use and easy to install requiring no wiring, two plugs and two screws are included for fitting the alarm to the ceiling, which ideally should be as central as possible within the room/area it is installed. The alarm has a test button, and like all building safety alarms it is recommended that you test it weekly. Complete with a detailed instruction manual, the Status Heat Alarm is backed by a 5 year manufacturers warranty.

We offer standard Royal Mail postal and Parcelforce or APC courier services. Orders that are over 3kg in weight have to go with one of our couriers, which is a next working day service. Please note, currently we do not ship outside of the UK.
We process and dispatch orders Monday-Friday only. We do not ship packages during weekends or bank holidays. Our cut-off times are 1pm for courier delivery, and 4pm for Royal Mail delivery. For guaranteed next day delivery, you will need to place your order before 1pm, allowing time for any security checks to be completed. We cannot guarantee next day delivery on orders placed after then, although we will try our best. Orders placed after 4pm on a Friday or over the weekend will be dispatched on the Monday. Delivery services exclude weekends and bank holidays so please take this into account when placing your order.
We pass on your email and/or mobile number to our couriers who will keep you updated with the status of your delivery. You will receive an email and/or SMS message on the day of delivery giving you an estimated delivery time. If your item is being delivered Royal Mail Tracked or by Parcelforce, you may be able to re-arrange delivery to a neighbour, opt to have it left at the delivery address, collect your parcel or have the order delivered another day from your SMS/email. If you do not wish us to pass on your contact details to our carrier, please let us know after purchase.
