Clearwater 1kg pH Plus is the best way to increase pH levels that have dropped below the recommended level. To avoid skin discomforts and enable the chlorine in your pool to work effectively, it's vital that acidity is monitored and controlled.

The recommended pH balance of spa water is between 7.2 and 7.6 (you can test pH levels using Clearwater Dip Test Strips). When water pH levels clamber above 7.6, alkalinity increases and pH treatment is required. Anything and everything that enters a hot tub contains its own pH level which, quite naturally, alters the pH balance of your spa. Contaminants can include things such as falling leaves, trespassing bugs, dead skin, natural body oils, deodorants or moisturisers!

Using the pH increaser couldn't be easier. You can apply it directly to the hot tub (so long as the water temperature is over 20°C or alternatively if under 20°C, by pre-diluting in a container of warm water before adding to the spa water.) After eight hours pH levels should be checked again and decreased or increased until they fall within the bracket of 7.2 to 7.6. If the pH level has increased above 7.6 then you should use Clearwater pH Minus to reduce it to the correct level.
